It's time to bring out your maroon and gold Fan Girls, the Gopher football season is just weeks away! 😆 While the boys are getting prepped for this year's upcoming season, now you can too! Let’s cue the drumroll because we’ve got the Gophers' 2024 football schedule! Get all the details on the Gophers upcoming games, times, locations, themes and the inside scoop on their competitors… it's almost game time and time to cheer for the Gophers!! ✨

August 29th
North Carolina

The Kickoff Game: Starting off the season, the Gophers will take on the North Carolina Tar Heels. While the Gophers may have lost to NC last season, the Gophers don’t plan on starting the season off on the wrong foot.

September 7th & 14th
Rhode Island & Nevada

- Out of Conference Game: Rhode island and Nevada are both outside of the Big Ten, but that doesn't mean that these games will be any less exciting!
September 21st
Iowa

Floyd of Rosedale Game: the long standing rivalry between Iowa and Minnesota, determining who keeps possession of Floyd the pig, continues on the 21st. This year the Gophers plan to keep the iconic pig happy, safe, and right where he belongs - in Gopher territory!

September 28th
Michigan
Taking on the Big Ten Winners: the Wolverines may have gone home as Big Ten winners last season but the Gophers promise to put up a fight this year, making for a can't-leave-your-seat, type of game
October 5th
USC

Family Weekend: playing for the first time since 2011, the Gophers and USC Trojans go head-to-head. With a home field advantage this year and playing for all Gopher families, the Gophers aim to take the W!

October 12th
UCLA
West Coast Matchup: Minnesota and UCLA have only played against each other 3 times in history. Last season when they faced off, the Gophers defeated UCLA 14-7 and plan to keep their winning streak going on the west coast.
October 26th
Maryland
@ Minnesota
Homecoming: this year the Gophers play Maryland on October 26th. Hoping for a win for all alumni, students, and the community to see, just like they did in their first homecoming game in 1914.
November 2nd & 9th
Illinois and Rutgers
The Road to Victory: in order to boost their standing in the Big Ten Conference, winning against both Illinois and Rutgers will pave the way for the Gophers take home the Stagg Championship Trophy!
November 23rd
Penn State
@ Minnesota
Celebrating Seniors: on November 23rd the Gophers will throw a pre-game celebration for their senior class and aims to continue that celebration by beating the Penn State Nittany Lions
November 29th
Wisconsin
The Axe Game: it wouldn't be Thanksgiving weekend without a battle for Paul Bunyan's axe 🪓! The Badger/Gopher game is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, which is probably why they save it for last… there is no way you're gonna want to miss this one!
While we do have to wait a couple more weeks to see touchdown dances and hear the Minnesota fight song, one thing's for sure: our calendar is marked and clear while our cheers are primed and ready. This season has a lot of exciting and long-awaited match ups that promise to be as exhilarating as ever and we cannot wait to watch! ✨ After seeing who the Gophers are set to dominate against, you can start getting excited because it’ll be here before you know it! I’m getting my practice cheer in now…GO GOPHERS and SKI-U-MAH! 📣 🤩
